After 11 months of silence, NetEase’s 24 Entertainment returned to the Summer Game Fest 2026 to debut the second trailer for their upcoming title, Blood Message, titled “Hold Till Dawn.”
Drawing loose inspiration from real events in Chinese history, the latest trailer unveils previously unreleased story content.
It vividly captures the grim grit and desperate struggle of a besieged garrison through overwhelming waves of enemy forces and a defiant, bone-chilling cry from the protagonist:
“Death before dishonor!”
Interestingly, the trailer subtly evokes the historic “Hexi Corridor’s return to the Tang Dynasty.”
Rather than a literal retelling, the event serves as a powerful motif—a symbol of unyielding faith for the surviving soldiers, hinting at a complex narrative where hope and despair intertwine, adding profound historical weight to this frontier tragedy.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, closed playtests are currently underway, and official gameplay footage will be released soon.
