Whenever I play survival games, I like to organize my stuff the moment items start piling up. In Minecraft, for example, I’d build rows of chests, label them, and sort everything by category.

You can do the exact same thing early on in Palworld. But once you hit mid-to-late game, the tech tree unlocks something far more convenient: the Item Retrieval Machine.
It looks a bit like a CT scanner. Its main job is to scan every chest in your base and let you access everything from one spot. It doesn’t mess with your existing organization—it just cuts out the hassle. Say you’ve got ten chests, each holding a different item type. Before this machine, stashing new loot meant opening chest after chest to find the right one. Now you just open the Item Retrieval Machine and deposit or withdraw anything that’s already stored somewhere. It also has a search function, so finding what you need takes seconds.
There is one catch, though. If the item you’re holding isn’t already in any of your chests, you can’t deposit it through the machine. You have to manually drop it into a chest first. After that, the machine handles it just fine. Even with that limitation, it saves a huge amount of time.
I’m not sure if there’s an even better storage method out there. I’m level 80, but I still have plenty of tech left to unlock. If I find something better down the road, I’ll update this.
